Junkyards of the North
Like many Bronco Owners, I'll need to be prowling some salvage yards from time to time to search some items out that I need but don't have the funds to pay vendor prices. I'd like to hear about your experiences and recommendations for yards up North, I'm in Longmont.
I'm going to be in need for an entire emergency brake system. Seats Mirrors
And who knows what else in the future.
Any great yards.. Any places to stay away from?
Thanks Brett

Re: Junkyards of the North
In Greeley - Andersen's U-Pull-It is one of the best. Most parts carry a 30 day warrantee (replacement or money back). But they will seldom have an early Bronco, so only good for parts that will interchange / swap.
Riverside Truck Parts is just south of Greeley in Evans. Their main lot is all modern, but they have a lot across the street to the south that has old stuff. Last time I was there they had at least 5 early broncos in varios staged of disrepair. Pricing was typical but not cheap.
There is also a lot on Hwy 34 between I-25 and Greeley. They have a lot of stuff, but again probably just for swap stuff.

Re: Junkyards of the North
That place out on Hwy 34 west of Greeley has some good stuff but they think its all gold. You have to be an Arab trader to get a good deal. I'll second Andersons as a good yard. They set a couple new rows of Fords every week , Monday's I think. They have lots of Trucks so its a good place for a tilt column, Disc Brakes, and 4x4x2 Steering boxes. I try to get out there every couple weeks to so what's new. Riverside is pretty good as well but I have not been there in a while. They have alot of parts already pulled that are not in the yard. I got an axel from them once and the guy walked out to a shop with hundreds of parts and was back in a few minutes with a left rear axel for me.
