So all, if I went ahead and put a 2" James Duff lift on my Bronco, anyone have any thoughts on the most appropriate tire / wheel size combination to go with that?

You can "comfortably" squeeze 32" tires under that 2" lift with relatively no issues. I ran 32s on my 66 Bronco with no lift and it was tight, but worked.

15" wheels will give you the best bang for the buck when it comes to buying tires. Comes to think of it, I think aluminum slots would look great under your truck. And I do have a set I'd likely be willing to part with.

As far as that lift choice goes, I'd step it up to a 3.5" lift. You (and the new Bronco driver) will likely be happier with the stance and tires options for that lift. 33" tires will fit under there nicely, and it will fill the wheel wells much better.

3.5" lift and 33's seem to go together like coffee and doughnuts.... like fly fishing and a long stretch of open river.... Like Jessica Simpson and Daisy Dukes...

umm, never mind...I say go with the 3.5" lift and 33's.

Um, I'm not sure what Greg is smoking, but if you have the option go with Jessica Simpson and the Daisy Dukes. Oh, and I'd go 33's with the 2" lift and cut any spots that rub.

I don't know what these old timers are smokin but oif you do a 3.5" you're gonna want something bigger than 33s:)

I'd suggest Wild Horses for your lift. They tend to ride a bit nicer....Duffs are pretty stiff. I think we get a bit of a discount through horses if you mention the club also.

I just put an ad up for some nice stiff springs, blocks and drop bracket. Look me up if interested. But of course if you want the full kit, go with WH. Those springs just go and go. My rear wheels lift off before the front now. But I'm still using stock rear springs with extra leverage with full size rear axle.

Anyone see the advertisement on CL for a Rancho 3" lift kit -- FR and R shocks, steering stabilizer, rear U-bolts, c-bushings, panhard bar bushings -- no blocks. $225. Is the Rancho kit worth a look? I really don't want blocks! And BTW, Frank has seen my wife -- I'll stick with her and daisy dukes over Jessica Simpson any day!

DO NOT get a Rancho, SuperLift or a Sky Jacker lift. Those three lifts are garbage compared to anything put out by the EB stores. Get one that is made for your EB, not one that is pieced together from multiple vehicles, which is what the others tend to do. If I was buying a complete kit, I would go with the WH first, BC second, Duff third. I hear the Duff shocks are pretty damn good though. If Jim at the former Cage Offroad (now Bloody Knuckle Garage) has his stuff up and running, I would go with his stuff above the three big EB guys too. Try emailing him at jim@bloodyknucklegarage.com and see where that gets you. I've got the old Cage coils and they are by far and away the best coils I have ever ridden on.

Luckily my Bronco came with a WH lift, but if I had to choose for myself from what I have read, the WH seems to be one of the best solutions. Mine was stiff but seems to be loosening up. I may try running a single shock per wheel to see if that helps.

The Cage stuff is very nice. The front shock hoops, extended arms, and rear double shock mounts are rolling works of art. I think Sexton Offroad in Utah is a Cage dealer and that would likely save ya some time and money on shipping.
