Wondering if we might have someone in Loveland who can hook a brother up. Found a dude parting out a Super Duty that has the big tow mirrors on it. Guy is only available M-F 8-6 and that does not jive well with my schedule. If someone is close to there and could hook me up with pulling the mirrors and paying the guy, I've certainly got your money back for you and a solid on some parts/suds for your effort.

If anyone is available to hook me up, let me know.

I can run up there for ya if no one up that way can do it, but it might be a couple of days. Monday or Tuesday at the latest. I'll need to carve out a little time from work. Some sort of basic instructions on how the mirrors come apart and the guy's contact info would be good. How much is he asking for them?

Still waiting on some pics back from this guy on the mirrors. Not his truck I guess. Parting it out via craigslist for an elderly friend.

Mirrors are stupid easy to pull. Yank three rubber grommets from the inside of the door, take off two nuts, maybe have to disconnect a wiring pigtail if they have the heaters and turn signals built in.

Asking price is 50/each or 75/each if he pulls them.

Still have hopes someone closer to Loveland chimes in. 40 mins to an hour is putting you guys out a little bit to do this for me.

I could run by and do this for you. I can hit it up after work. Might have something Friday afternoon (don't know yet), but can definitely next week. If you can set something up for Friday (say 3:30 - 4:00 ish), I'll try and push the other a little later (if it even materializes). If they are heated, cut the wires at least 6" downstream of the connector in case you ever want to hook them up. I wouldn't mind having heated mirrors. Surprised my Lariat package didn't come with them.

Aren't the 16.5" wheels the ones with the weird beads that don't seal as well? I've considered the military Wranglers too, but wasn't sure about that piece.

Nope. Non-beadlocks. They are just to get me in to the 16.5" wheel world.

You can order them in just about any bolt pattern you want, so 5x5.5 is no worry for your Bronco.

$260 for a double-beadlocked wheel with the military wrangler is a pretty darn good deal. Wear the Wranglers out and get something good after that!

Something good? For instance?

Been rolling on Wranglers for a few years now for work and they seem to hold up pretty damn well. Plus there really aren't that many manufacturers making tires for 16.5s any more.

A friend of mine ran a set on his truggy and while they held up fine, traction wasn't there. He got a great deal on a set of iroks and they hooked up much better. I don't consider Iroks to be a good tire by any stretch, but they do grab the rocks. I just think the Military Wrangles are a very hard compound and not good for wheeling.

If you're talking stickly for your tow rig...well I have no street experience on them. Might work well in that application.

But wait, should the Ferd have 19.5's?

Yeah, I'd love to know how you like that wheel/tire combo when you get them on. May be a good option for me in the future, but would require more lift to clear. Not sure I am ready for that.
