So in an effort to keep my new trailer and pop-up camper in good condition, I made me some rock guards last night. I did not attach the actual rubber flaps to it yet because it was raining cats and dogs out there and I couldn't test fit, but I got all the mount made and am anxious to get it on there to see how it'll work.

It will work by sliding the mall-mount thru the flap mount and then slide the ball mount into the receiver and pinning it. Like this:


With a fresh coat of paint...


I will get updated pictures once I mount the flaps to it, but I think this will work well, and a fraction of the price the $200 rock tamers are!

At lunch, made a run to the hardware store to complete the job:




I may have to do a little trimming on the collar to fit the ball mounts I have, but I think it'll work great. I may also trim the tops off a little, but not sure yet.
