depends on alot of things. How much compression your coils or leafs have, how long the shocks are. Normally on a front end of an EB I do about 4" of up.

All you can handle without interference from anything else. Down-travel is a bit better for stability, so I'd shoot for a 70-30 to 60-40 split for down vs up travel.
