Post Motor Mounts
All --

Are there any Motor Mounts that are any better / more heavy duty than any others? I am hoping to get the engine back in my Bronco in the run up to Thanksgiving, so I need to get new mounts now. Any thoughts? Ebay lists a bunch, but I was wondering if anyone had purchased any that they thought were superior.

Thanks!

Very good. I can do that. Does WH or one of our other suppliers carry the HD mount?

WH Part #8036 is $160.09 to my door for the Extreme Motor Mounts V8 (Pair). That seems like alot, but...

You ever figure out why the old motor wouldn't turn with the breaker bar? I'm interested to hear.

Any plans to tune up the C4 and Dana 20 while you have so much room to maneuver?

Hah! Good to hear from you sir! I've still got the new (to me) donor motor on the engine stand and I have not broken down the original motor any further. (I needed a template to work from when building up the new motor!) So the long and short of it is, I have no idea why the original motor won't turn over, but as soon as I free up the engine stand, I will be able to play with it more. I did speak with whomever you told me to on the forum here about reworking my transmission -- and he agreed to do it for me once his garage got cleaned out -- but it has been so long, I can't find his post / contact information! DOH! You'll need to educate me on what tuning up the Dana-20 means / enatils. I'm hoping to have some extra hands available (family in town) for some of the work on the 21st and 22nd, but if anyone else has nothing better to do, please feel free to jump in!

Viperwolf would be the man with the plan as it goes with C4s. No real tuning of the Dana 20, unless you wanted to go twin stick. I was just thinking that as long as you have the room to move about, might as well pull it and refresh it.

I'll let you know on the 21/22. This weekend looks to be pretty full with Valentino's Bronco getting Franken-fixed.

Correct, correct! That was it. Viperwolf -- how is that garage space looking? Very much agree on refreshing the Dana-20. Certainly much easier with everything out of the way! And I am getting married on the 19th, so any / all work on the Bronco has to occur after that date or I would be a dead man -- HAH!
