Has anybody else seen this?
Coming soon to a trail near you!
Apparently this company makes all-new turn-key FJ's and CJ's in several different versions. FJ's include standard, long wheel base, 4-door, and pickup models. CJ's come as Old School, New School, or Baja. The Bronco only says "Coming Soon" ... no detail yet on engine/drivetrain, options, etc.

Re: Has anybody else seen this?
Yup. Want to say it had the new 5.0 in it. Not sure though. Here is where we were discussing it last.

Re: Has anybody else seen this?
I was watching "How Its Made" tonight on the Science channel & they had the Icon FJ on there. It was the "off-road vehicle". Seems to me that what they do is take a new tub, body panels & like an aftermarket frame. The put a few doo-dads here and there, for their desired suspension or what ever else (basically the same thing we do to ours), and do a mock up. Then they pull everything apart, powder coat everything....and I mean everything....bed liner the bottom of the tub for rust protection and put it all together again. It's a pretty thorough job that they do, but I was surprised to hear that they say it only takes about 200 man hours to go from start to finish on the whole project. That's basically 2 guys on it for about 12.5 days. But at the price of shop rates, materials & markups, they are asking waaaaaaaaaaaay over the top for their product. They have an FJ with a diesel in it for $155k. I tell you what, that thing better wipe my arse after a day of wheeling for that price.

Re: Has anybody else seen this?
Man can you imagine a Bronco with the new Coyote 5.0. That would be killer but I think an EcoBoost in one would be a heck of a blast as well.

Re: Has anybody else seen this?
I've said it once and I'll say it again, Ford is definitely missing out on a market share by not bringing back the Bronco. And I don't mean that POS concept they released a few years ago. They should really get the dev team who designed the new Mustangs and put them to work on this. Rubicons and FJs are killing it right now when it comes to off road vehicles and there is no one to stop them.

Re: Has anybody else seen this?
Seriously. A JK/EB sized vehicle with front and rear solid axles would make a killing, especially if it was made in a small pickup version as well. Throw in a turbo diesel and lockers and I'd buy one tomorrow.

Re: Has anybody else seen this?
I'm with you Justin, if we could source a nice modern turbo diesel tip to tail with a 5 spd, I'd throw one in my Bronco and enjoy 20+ mpg. Ford puts a little 2.5L diesel in the overseas Rangers and they have a lot of get up and go, that is what we drive out here. I've looked into the 4BT conversion and I think you, Zack and quite a few others have as well, but the damn thing is too old, heavy and loud.
