Yesterday, my dad had his detached garage broken into. Assholes knew exactly what they were going for too. They took our welder & argon, plasma cutter and the cart they were both mounted on, 3 cutting torches & bottles, a band saw mounted on a rolling stand, 2 dewalt cordless drills, 1 of which had the sawzall, drill & skillsaw attachments, our really good welding hood and some other doo-dads. Welder was an older Lincoln, plasma was an Esab HP250. So they got all of our metal cutting tools. It just really pisses me off. Probably close to $5k worth of stuff. The really funny thing about it is, they didn't touch any of the hand, air, electric, wood tools or the 55 Chevy or the 66 Mustang that was in the garage with the stuff. It just pisses me off...

Holy Crap, That is really F'd up. Dont you wish you could find those little cowards and beat the living crap out them ??? PUNKS

That completely sucks. I'd be pissed too. Will insurance at least cover it?

Dunno if insurance will. They didn't find out until about 4:30 yesterday, which is when my mom called me and asked me if I had been over at their house. Of course I hadn't and my first thought was they got robbed. I told my mom where to look for stuff and she was like, "no, none of that is there". Dad called their insurance today and of course the local office was closed. I told them to call the main claims office, but we will see. I've already called all the pawn shops to give them a heads up, Dad did his police report last night, so the word is out there. I think I have an idea who did it too. There is a gal that lives with her 80 year old mom up the street from them and she is always having guys come and go at odd hours. A bunch of dirt balls too. Tell ya what, if I find out that one of those SOBs took it, someone is gonna have some problems, possibly an accident.....know what a mean?

Somebody tried to pry the door open on my detached garage either thursday or friday. I noticed this morning There are claw marks on the door and trim and the door knob was hit down with a hammer or something and it will not rotate anymore. No police report here, But I spent the morning installing motion sensor lights and I bought a home Security cameras from amazon. Kinda hoping they come back so they can make my day :)

That sucks! Coming from your side of this I have been told it is usually someone that you know. Someone that has been in there before knew what they wanted and made the choice. I hope they get caught and pay for what they have done.

In November I had my brand ing new iPhone 4S stolen off of my belt while standing in line for food. I noticed it after about 10 minutes, just as we got to our hotel. Pulled up icloud and located the phone (it was constantly moving). I locked it, then sent messages offering a reward. I ultimately wiped it.

The police took 3 hours to come, then wrote a report and handed me a receipt so I could claim it on insurance, They had no interest or procedures to track or recover the phone. They didn't even take my home address or phone number.

It also turns out that there is no central clearing house of stolen cell phones. Other cell companies will happily enable a stolen cell from a competing carrier, and especially other countries will unlock and allow your stolen cell to be used.

I felt violated and anxious for days.

Keep an eye on eBay and Craigslist. Thieves are sometimes stupid enough to post their "finds" right away.

This is a bad situation. If insurance does pay the claim, your Dad has to pay the deducable and higher premiums as a result. Good reminder for all of us to add deadbolts, motion lights, etc. to protect our stuff.

Dang it, that reall sucks Gary! So sorry to hear that! I hope that insurance pony's up and I hope that these guys get caught. Let me know if you need a poser buyer responding to an ad??
