I broke my Bronco and my Truck in the same day.
So, last Saturday I went on the wheeler lake trail run and had a blast! That's the end of the good news. I got about 40 minutes from home when the day took a turn for the worse. We were towing the Bronco behind the power stroke and moving along US85 at about 70 miles an hour when it quickly lost power and shut down. The first thought was a bad Cam Position Sensor. I had a spare but swapping it did nothing. I called Kevin ( Kbank6 ) and he headed my way to help. Next I called Rob because he was close and knows a hell of a lot more about power strokes than me. Rob grabbed his diagnostic gear and also headed my way. Next I called EFI guy for advice. We were not able to immediately find the problem so we decided to unload the Bronco and put the truck on the trailer. The plan was to have Kevin pull the truck home with his truck and I would drive the Bronco home. After a little work with the Bronco winches we had the truck loaded and Rob headed for home. So as we went to leave the Bronco decided it was not feeling like doing any driving and it shut down showing zero psi on fuel pressure gauge. Really? Son of a .... . So now we had no choice but to drag the truck home and drop it then return for the Bronco. By the time we got both rigs in the driveway, it was 1:15 AM. The next day, I found the problem with the Bronco was a shorted and melted wire to the fuel pump. Later in the Day Kevin and I finally got the truck started. It appears that I had run the main tank dry and sucked air in to the system. I'm currently replacing the fuel pump and fuel bowl O rings in the truck and expect to have it moving again soon. So next time you have to get your dead truck and Bronco home you know who to call to get your rigs home!

Well, that kinda sucked but great that you were able to get the help you needed.
Riddle me this; I assume the melted / burnt wire was new. Any idea what caused this to happen again ?

Glad they ended up being an easy fix. On both.

Couldn't believe the Bronco had that issues right as we were leaving. Oh well, we got everyone home and at least they both run.
