Black Friday deals?
I'm not much of a black friday or cyber monday shopper, but I did get an email from Crutchfield that piqued my interest. Moving back from Germany, two of our audio receivers got damaged, so it was time to jump into something more modern. After lots of research I decided on Denon Heos Home Cinema (Sound bar) and it's been great! It sounds great, is adjustable and expandable. That brings me to the sale...
They are offering a Heos 1 at 50% off ($99). This is a small speaker that apparently packs a good punch for it's size. The Heos 7 is also on sale and it's their biggest "portable" speaker. I have not heard any of them except the Cinema, but I wouldn't have any reason to believe they aren't great! Plus it's so nice to have a system that connects via WiFi so it will adapt to suit your future needs.
Anyone else see some great deals?

Re: Black Friday deals?
I'm on the hunt for a new UHD 55" or 60" TV and there seems to be lots of good deals at the moment.
I just bought a Sonos Play 1 and really love it. The only thing I don't like is you have to use the stand alone wireless ones through their App. Their TV soundbar connects to TV / receiver via cable.
I was hoping it could be paired up to an Apple device and play the audio for whatever content you were watching on the iPad. Does the Heos have this capability by chance ?

Re: Black Friday deals?
I think the Sonos and Heos are quite similar. I do not believe that you can do that directly with the Heos, but I have a Roku that I can stream stuff from and get the noise from the Heos. Plus it's on my big TV. Even Youtube. I could be wrong about that tho and the guys a crutchfield may know better.
I chose the Heos because for the price of the soundbar from Sonos, I could get the Heos with a subwoofer. Bluesound also has one out there that is a bit higher priced, but yet another level above Heos and Sonos in quality. Never got to hear that one as it wasn't on the market a month ago.
I do need to revamp my home theater system. I have an old Denon 5.1 system with a DVD player. The door on the player doesn't like to open and once you get it open, won't close and you can't play the movie. I have resorted to prying it open and pushing it shut, but there is still something that won't recognize the position of the door. It's also pre-HDMI so I trouble connecting newer equipment to it. I have a brand new Wifi Bluray player that I haven't opened yet because I fear it only has HDMI. It also does not have Opitcal, so I can't route everything thru the TV first either. But it sounds so good that I can't justify scrapping the whole thing.

Re: Black Friday deals?
For the last 5-6 years Lowe's has had these on sale for $9.99 during Black Friday. I've got two of them and I love them. One stays in the garage for a handy bench. The other in the back of the Super Duty.

Looks like $20 this year. Still a good deal.

Re: Black Friday deals?
For those of you that are like me and try to avoid the crowds; I purchased that stand online yesterday for $20 and clicked on pick it up in store. It's ready to be picked up at the front register and I have 4 days to get it. Good way to avoid the rush and craziness of it all while still getting a good deal.
