Some of these bronco mooments are priceless
Ok, so Weds afternoon Drew calls me, "Dad, can Dan and me take the top off the bronco" I tell him I dont think it is a good idea, he argues with me and my policy is if the ywant to argue with me, as long as it is not ilegal or dangerous, well then go for it, jsut do not ask me to fix and expect me to gloat every chance I get (just ask Daniel when he is talking about the "straight pipes" on his mustang).
Well their mom intervined and told them no way, no how (smart lady)
So yesterday they decide on thier own to remove the doors. No I do not know why, they just say because it is so nice out. Ok fine, what ever. Daniel has hockey practice at the Edge (Kippling and Bowles) last night at 6:45 - 7:45 and takes Drew's little pony to said practice, then he is meeting his mother and I for dinner. With us is his cute little 16 yr old girlfriend who has been shopping with Cheri (yep that is his mom) for a prom dress - trust me folks, Cheri has no equal when it comes to shopping, her own mom dropped out weeks ago in this marathon shopping event, just gave Amy her credit card adn said what ever you want dear, have fun with Cheri.
So Daniel is on his way to practice calls me and tells me that he and Drew removed the doors. I mention to him dont you think it is going to be cold after practice? Nawww - I have my carhart coat, over all's and boots, hat and gloves. I simply ask him "well what about Amy, arent you taking her home after dinner?
The silence was worth a whole weeks worth of arguments with him...
Sometimes it is great to be the Dad.

Not that the girlfriend's ride home wasn't a problem, but lining them doors up after pulling the hinges is gonna be a real pain in the ass. I remember when I first pulled the doors off of mine, they still don't line up right 17 years later....lol

Re: Some of these bronco mooments are priceless
My dad was right back in the day. I bought my first bronco from him. First thing I wanted to do was yank the top off. He said no way until I put at least a front cage in it instead of just the roll bar. I complained but did it to take the top off. That following fall I was wheeling and rolled it. The hard top was on but the cage is the only thing that saved my friend and I.

"Daaaad, that's the plan, she'll have to snuggle up close to me!"
So it wasn't so long ago that I was that age...
What'd you end up doing? Taking the GF home?
