Anyone put a weather strip or seal on the bed rails to protect the paint before installing hard top or soft top? |

Ours has the factory seal. Still had some marks when it was removed, but it had been on for 25+ years. |

You might consider ordering some rubber strips from mcmaster. That would both protect and seal. J.D. |

I needed some to space the top away from the bedrails so my soft doors would fit. I ordered 1/4" thick, but you'd go with much thinner. And the softer stuff will crush better. J.D. |

would camper seal tape work ?? Has a peel back adhesive on one side, made out of foam rubber. Any RV place would have it. |

watch out using neoprene, I have used it and it messes with the crush factor. The doors won't seal & you will have gaps all over the place. Get some really soft rubber or buy the OEM ones from JBG |
