I got a buddy down in the springs that bought a used '06 PSD with about a 3" lift. It has a case of the death wobble. Does anyone here have any experience with this? I told him to checkout the trackbar bushings and look for any losseness in the steering. He's thinking about replacing the trackbar for one with heim joints. Any good sources out there? |

Viper, let your PSD buddy know he can get in contact with my if he wants (via my information in the members only section). Based on feedback from Zilla I think I am going to need to fix/upgrade that Tbar upper mount as well. Do I smell a PSD tech day? I think Jesus_Man might be just as smart on those as he is EBs. |

When I did my leveling kit, I put this panhard (track bar) in: http://www.sky-manufacturing.com/new/de ... php?id=204 It's not for you coil spring guys apparently, but not sure what the difference is. Might be worth a call to Sky. My only complaint is that there was no way to rotate the bar without using a pipe-wrench. I ended up grounding two flats on either end to grab on with a large wrench. If I could find a huge nut to weld to it, I would have rather done that. Also, I'd stay away from Heims due to the vibration they transfer. Zilla - I'd like to hear your experience with poly bushings. I have several in different applications and never had trouble. J.D. |

We have a '70 F100 that shares a lot of front end parts with a CB. We had a death wobble in it that the Bear shop in Denver and another frontend shop couldn't figure out. It ate trackbar bushings for breakfast. We were about to scrap the truck because it was too dangerous when I took it to Kennedy Alignment & Axle Service in Commerce City. He went straight to the problem; it was the pin or post for the trackbar on the axle housing that had come loose. He couldn't get in to tighten it, so he welded it. FIXED! |

Also have him check the balljoints with a pretty good sized pry bar, they are very very common on pretty much all super duty's, and usually you only can get them to move if you pry upward on the tire from underneath it while someone else watches and feels the joint |
