Bad u-joint?
So I had a little driveline vibration on the Super Duty when I was driving it home from Denver. Haven't had much chance to look at it and the truck has been parked. Decided to pull the driveshaft after a quick inspection. I'm thinking this u-joint might have been bad.
_________________ Stroppe'd 1972 Sport, 302, 3 speed with old school Duff floor shifter, T shift Dana 20 with JB Fab twin stick, 4.11 gears with Trac-loc, Lincoln hydroboost, Chevy disc conversion, WH gas lift gate shock kit, 33" Duratrac tires on slots and about 2.5" of lift, Stroppe installed: bumper braces, dual shocks on all four corners, GM power steering, trans cooler mount, auto shift column, rollbar.
The Terrible One 1972 Sport uncut, 302, C4 with 1974 column , T shift Dana 20, 3.50 gears w/ limited slip, 1966 U13 Roadster kick panel, and factory power steering.

Yeah. After pull the driveshaft, I'm gonna probably replace all the u-joints. Good prevention. Plus both caps on the next joint just fell off with no effort. Don't think I saw any grease in them.

eh, 25k at best. Have to save the rest for the Bronco. Big thing that gave it away...the half a post seen the the bottom was not only not seated in the bearing cap, it was kicked over almost a full inch. Some heavy throttle and I'd probably have sheared it right off.

id go with u joints that are non grease-able they're much stronger on a diesel they have alot of torque . i have been through a couple and they seem to last longer and i have mine chipped so i like to mash the pedal and watch the smoke.

Weld up some nuts to the old ones and just die grind round vwala, reconditioned u joints
