I'm still looking for an EB and this one was recommended and looks promising. Can someone in the area (Englewood) go look or meet me there with some advice for a newbie? Thanks! |

Hey Brian, I'm in Longmont and getting there before dark would be difficult. Give me a buzz and maybe we could work something out. 303 667-0165. Gregg |

I am in Englewood (Broadway and Hampden) but as a newbie myself, I doubt I would be much help. It sure looks good in the pictures though. Just an , I would love to go and look at it with someone who has an "experienced eye" so to speak. Then we could at least give you a report and let you know if a trip down is worthwile. Let me know if that is something that anyone would like to do. And I second Zillacon's advice. I was the first to look at the one I just bought, gave the seller a $500 deposit to hold it while I went to the bank to withdraw the remaining cash. While I was at the ATM to retrieve the deposit, someone else tried to buy it, and over the weekend, waiting for hte Bank to open so I could cash a check, he had offers of p to $1500 more than his asking price (which I paid without negotiating). And as soon as I agreed to buy it, he took the ad off Craigslist. Greg |

all good info. Thinkin I got hosed when I bought mine as these recent ones are making me ? my purchase. but it was good for what was available at the time and my intended purpose. Also not sure what you want to do with it but here is what appears to be a well built truck and he has way more into it than what he is asking http://westslope.craigslist.org/cto/2032177062.html all depends on what you want and what you can pay. good luck. |

OK. just talked to him. This is a summary of the truck in his words. He said he has had a bunch of calls and one guy wanted to drive it daily cause he thought it would be a good truck. Seller says he would prefer to sell to somebody who knows what they are getting. Truck is down in Trinidad. was a daily driver from 05-06 and has been very minimally used since. has wild Horses lift new longer driveshaft, brake lines. Disk are unknown mfg, on truck from previous owner. Has a bunch of new engine goodies. intake, carb, valve covers. tranny is assumed to be original, no known history. rims have some rust but clean up nice gearing and or limited slip/lockers are unknown. transfer case was sticking?? having trouble getting in and out of 4x4 has hard top (assumed standard condition) soft top has some cracks and tears. sellers words "some rust on gas tank side 1/4 panel seams. but otherwise prettymuch rust free" He said he is hoping someone will drive down and pick it up. kinda sight unseen I suppose and quite a haul just to see it. might be worth the effort though? I was looking in Utah at Broncos. I drove to Pueblo to look at mine. Then went back down a second time with the Cash. I enjoyed the search for the right Bronco - it is an adventure like hunting. Each Bronco you look at will help you evaluate the next one. You will find the right one eventually, but hopefully this one is it. The info above makes it sound great. Happy hunting. |

Hey brianut, airbur, zillacon, hockeydad...You all rock and if this works out you'll all see it and be invited to drive it (help me maintain her too). So I talked to the guy and he was pretty cool. He said he talked to a few of my buddies (zillacon and brianut- thought that was cool) and told me pretty much what brianut listed above. Yes, its in Trinidad and I can't make that trip this week(end) and the lack of pictures don't make it an emergency...yet. Mechanically the owner says it runs great except the sticking 4 wheel, but at least it's stuck in 2 wheel. I'm really hoping this doesn't have any rust surprises other than what the owner said. The interior carpet makes me nervous. Can't say enough about seeing it in person. Either way, next weekend (20/21) I hope to take a road trip. Everyones invited. I'll drive (there). Road trip for Colorado Classic Broncos! |

MIne sticks in 4 wheel as well, Viperwold told me that the shifting forks were likely out of alignment in the transfer case. I'll be rebuilding mine this winter so if you get the truck we could make it a project. |

well went down and looked at it today , so if you don't mind replacing the whole floor and both rockers and inner fender panels , and fixing the leaks on engine trans transfer case and rear end it's great . no really it's an absolute pos the picture is about 35 years old . but it was a nice drive |

Thanks for the heads up. I was lining up a trailer and was planning on going this Sunday. I would have been POed using my day like that. The owner is still trying to get it up to Denver and I might take a look then. There are a lot of EBs out for sale and it's making my decision pretty tough and nerve racking. But better to have a choice. There is a good priced ($3500) one in Hayden if anyone's looking (classicbronco classifieds). I've got a good lead I'm working now. I'll have pics by Monday for all your advice. |
