Post Help needed on TBI conversion
Hey guys, i know iam the new guy on here and this is a Bronco forum, however I really need to get this FJ40 out of my garage so i can get the bronco into it. I helped or rather dove into a TBI conversion on the installed chevy 350 however i'm running into a bit of problem trying to get the thing fired up.

As I said he has a chevy 350 installed in it, i pieced together all the parts, computer, wire harness etc etc.. I have everything installed and wired up however I'm stumbling a bit on getting it to fire. I have spark, the timing is dead on and I hear the fuel pump kick on and see the fuel pressure hit 13psi when i crank it however still no start up. I think the injectors are not kicking on.. or i have something mis-wired however not too sure. I have been working on this by myself for the most part and not sure where to go from here. (complete newbie on this)

As i said I know iam the new guy on here however I thought i would reach out and see if anyone has some experience getting on of these fired up and would be willing to lend a hand. I would be more than willing to float some $, food, beer or all the above to help get this rust bucket out of my garage.

You may get help here (I have been surprised before), but you may seek help over on , Coloradok5.com, Colorado4x4.org, or maybe an FJ-40 site as I am sure the issues are much more common there than here.

I didn't supply 12v start/run power to the injectors. There are two service hookups on the wire harness I picked up (from a 92 camero) - well two of the wires going into the service connector were for the injectors and were not hooked up to anything.. hence no power. I overlooked it due to poor wiring schematics and honestly this was my first conversion.

Not any one wiring schematic helped me.. it was a conglomerate of 5 that eventually pointed the way. Then, a little trouble shooting and checking voltages ended up eliminating almost all problem areas and I was able to finally nail down the fact that.. hey.. no 12v, no fuel, no start.. and so i tied the injectors into the pink and black wire and it fired right up.

Glad I got it running.. set the timing last night and started putting the front end together. I think i can have it out of the garage tonight and get things cleaned before i work on redoing my powersteering/York/upper intake maintenance on the fullsize.. have a slight leak on the lower intake, new bracket for the York and I want to install a real Power steering resevior for my Hydro assist...

Anyway It was a good learning experience, even if it wasn't my truck ;)

I will be going EFI on the 76 bronco eventually - probably move the 302 from the fullsize (EFI, Mass air, roller) to the 76.. but we will see.. thats a ways down the road.

Click on "Intake Adapters" then "AP-34".

I've got a 460 in my bronco. And the only downfall with goin to stock 460 efi I would need to change the heads to the efi ones. It wouldnt be cheap with my valve train. Thats why Im just lookin into a tbi setup. I really like the fast ez-efi as it's bolt on and is self tuning.
