Thinking about picking up a CB in the near future, maybe for Christmas. Anyone have any favorites? Sort of torn between something cheap and small like the Uniden 510xl and something with more features and the ability to tune to greater power. |

Cobra seems to be a good one. Check out a truckstop to find one. Also search this forum because there have been a few threads with some good info. |

I did a bit of searching but didn't find much. The search limit of 3 words or more and the existence of CB.com mess up the results. Which Cobra do you like? |

That mod is really cool. I'm actually thinking about finding a cheap used 29 or 25 in good working order and trying it. It'd look great mounted up in one of the BC Broncos windshield wiper covers. |

Go to western radio. He will set you up.. Have him do a peak and tune for starters. This will help the CB work to its full potential. |

I've seen quite a few 29s and 25s on Craigslist over the last few weeks. Most at or under 75 bucks. I've been looking in to getting one to put in to the Shark for a few weeks now and that modded install looks amazing. I love that kind of ingenuity, although being a former Taco owner, I don't know about the "convenience" of having it installed in the center console. I'm thinking my mod will put the main unit under the seat, like the Taco guy did, faceplate in a custom center console I am about to start working on, and the mic input run all the way up to the overhead console. |
