What adhesive to attach weather seal
Not on my bronco, but my pop-up camper. It has a storage bay on the front of it. A large lid to cover it made from ABS. well the ABS was cracked really bad and leaked. A new ABS one was $700, so I took it down to a local sheet metal place and they built me a replica from Aluminum for waaaaaay cheaper. My only problem now is getting the weather seal to attached to the powder coated surface. Any ideas?

Re: What adhesive to attach weather seal
you can use the same weather seal adheasive you would use for painted surfaces, like the door seals etc. Pick it up at any auto parts store.

Re: What adhesive to attach weather seal
Cool! So my plan was to somehow temporarily attach the seal to the flange on the camper so that it lines up perfectly. Then figure out a way to mark the outline of the seal on the lid so I know where the adhesive goes. Apply adhesive, shut the lid and allow it to dry. How can I temporarily attach the seal to the flange but not so much that it will overpower the adhesive and is removable? Any tricks to accomplish this? Thanks!

Re: What adhesive to attach weather seal
I used parts store weather strip adhesive on mine. Apply it to the surfaces and let it dry a little before trying to adhere the rubber.
