So I ran my Bronco pretty hard last week, it was my Daily Driver while the wife's car was in the shop (she drove my truck), than ran it hard over the weekend too, up into the mountains w/the trailer loaded up with stuff for partying and tree cutting. So this morning I go out to drive it to work and I'll be damned, the rear axle seal is gone and gear oil is all over my driveway. I blame Billie for leaving his Bronco parked too close to mine and infecting it with a case of the "my leak is your leak" sickness! |

Thanks for the offers to help fellas, knocked it out by flashlight this evening, nice pic of the axle after a bearing has gone way past bad to nasty in the staging thread about snow wheeling. I'm glad i caught it before I lost the axle going down the road. Now I know what that funny sound was coming from the rear end, it may even handle better! |
