Can you have a driveshaft extended after it has already been lengthened once? I have a shaft that is about 2" short and don't want to fork out the cash for a new one. If so, any recommendations for a good shop in the Springs? |

Yes you can. All they will do is cut the yokes off and weld them to a new longer tube. |

Just south of Fountain Blvd on Sierra Madre you'll find Drive Line Services. Great shop. Former Bronco owners run it. |

I've been to Driveline Services and wasn't treated to well. Wasn't horrible, but didn't seem interested in my business. My dad has deep ties with Drive Train Industries off Garden of the Gods and I-25. They have treated me very well there and continue to get my business. Ask for their driveshaft guy. I think it's Tim, but I don't recall. But to answer your question, you'd need a whole new tube. Splicing a driveshaft is a bad idea. |

Front Range Driveline in Englewood does awesome work. Prices are a bit on the high side but you should be able to talk them down. Remember though, complete new shafts from Wild Horses are under $300 and everything including CV is new. ----------------------------------------- Sleep, Eat, Train, Repeat |

Another vote for Driveline Services. I've had them lengthen both shafts at one point or another and I know several guys who used them on their comp rigs. I always had good service from them. |
