I wanted to post this in a separate thread from Rob's about Carroll's passing so it would not be missed. There will be a three hour special tonight starting at 6:00 on Velocity. This is going to be really good stuff.

Ha! You bet! Too much butt tie for me the past couple years, unfortunately. Got about 20 hours of Mecum auction in too. One day in the not too distant future, I will be back in the game, in meantime I will be an armchair adventurous!

I remember watching things on Velocity, but now it's a channel I don't get. Must have been free for a few months. Speaking of Discovery, if any of you ever get over to Gateway, CO, that's a pretty cool place to spend a day or two. We went there a couple weekends ago for a car show. The guy who owns Discovery, pretty much owns that little town, but has built a huge resort there. He has an amazing collection of cars in a museum, a golf course, and I am sure much more that we didn't see. They are going to get a driving school going with 5 trophy trucks. I registered to win a free lesson! Pretty darn cool place that I never knew about, mainly because you really can't get there from here. It's on there in the middle of nowhere. |
