Post subject: | How I spent my Summer Vacation |
As you all noticed I didn't make the Fun Run this weekend. Well I was out of town enjoying the company of my other family The Limers. Took the hotrod to Eureka Springs AR for a little Mustang show they hold every year. There were about 130 cars or so and we had 16 Legend Lime Mustangs including a very sweet Lime Gold rendition '68 GT fastback. The 68 was bought by the guys dad new and he has kept it as close to original as he could. We also added a few other Lime Gold versions with a GT500 and another GT to round out 18 total cars in the same color. We had our own little parking spot. There is an old fire lookout tower there and one of the guys climbed it and took this picture: (thanks Lee Richards for climbing the tower and taking the parade pics) A few of the Limers We also had one motel we stayed at and they even featured us on their Facebook page. Here is a picture of a few of the cars lined up in front the morning of the show. We had people ride by on bikes and turn around and ride in to take pictures of the cars during the day and night. We were going to be featured in the local newspaper because we came from all over the US and Canada for the show. One car was from AR the rest were TX, OK, Missouri, Nebraska and Kansas. We were the second longest long-hauler there. One of the guys drove down from Alberta in his convertible and is planning on making the Rocky Mountain Mustang Roundup in Steamboat in a few weeks before working his way back home. After the car show they take all the cars on a little parade through the town and people line the streets gawking and taking pictures of the cars and we throw candy to the little kids sitting by the side of the road. Lots of fun. |

Looks like a great time. I love that color and cool to see that many together at once yet each one with different stance, wheels, hoods, stripes, etc. |

Chad, the organizer for the show is talking next year of creating a class just for the Legend Lime cars. Almost all of the other Mustang colors have there own registrys (Yellow Mustang Registry, Black Mustang Registry, etc) but none as organized as the Limers. Many comments at the show were about how we all got together through the internet and are able to arrange these types of things. Your right on the differences, there were 2 stone stock cars in the group one was a coupe and the other a convertible the rest were all different in many ways. We had in the group an original Dale Jarrett edition (probably one of one made in Legend Lime). A Heritage edition Saleen Parneli Jones car (since Saleen no longer makes them the wheels alone are worth almost more than the car. |
