Hi All, new to the site but have had my 73 Bronc for about 12 years now. In that time I haven't done any body work and it shows. I live in Salida and so far no body shops in Chaffee county want to look at body work on older vehicles. I'm looking to replace the inner and outer rockers, the driver side floor pans, and cut the front and rear fenders to accommodate flares and 35" tires. I realize this is basic stuff but I can't do it so wonderin' if anyone has recommendations on a reasonable body shop out there for this. I'm not looking for show quality, I like to actually use the Bronc, just a freshen up.... Thanks guys, I'd love to come wheelin after I get the Bronco running more reliably. |

I live in Gunnison, and just spent 4 years working at John Robert's (Chevy dealership)bodyshop. I know the shops around here would take your business, it wouldn't be their first priority, but things are slow here so everyone will take work. John Roberts & Buffs Collision will give you fair prices. Don't use Gunnison Country Collision, he's shady. I'll have my compressor wired in a week or so, and have a pretty good set up. If you aren't in a hurry, and we could plan a concrete schedule we could plan a weekend and do it at my house. I don't have a lot of paint gear, but I'm set up for the metal work. If you can drive it over here, I'd like to check it out and let you know what I see needs done. |

Hey thanks for the tips guys. I would like to have the work done in the mountains as it takes us at least three hours to get to the front range cities. Driving to Gunny could work out, I'll give those shops a call and go from there. Thanks again. |
