I just removed this from the project bronco I am working on. It appears to be the stock manual steering gearbox with a sort of power unit bolted to it. The power steering pump is a saginaw but was mounted above the alternator sharing its custom bracket and single belt. It seems to have been some kind of common conversion based on how well everything fit. I removed it due to lack of power and a ton of play in it. Anyone seen or heard of it?

Is that one of the Stroppe conversions? Ask Zack, he knows about those. |
