So, I might as well let the cat out of the bag. I'm likely headed out of town for a bit of time. The Bronco is either going to Area 51 to stay warm and cozy during my absence, or will be stored in the one car garage at our new apartment. Any tips or tricks you guys have for putting a vehicle up for 6+ months of no driving? Already considering Sta-bil for the tank, or simply draining it. |

If you are storing it for less than a year, the fuel should be alright. Any chance that you can start it up once month? If so, then no real need to "winterize it". I have had mine stored for years now, while rebuilding it, I start it once in awhile, no problems.... |

I'd drain the tank/s and pull the battery. Slap a few moth balls in it to keep the mice away. |

I've stored by bronco twice for 1 year periods, it didn't suffer too much either time since I was able to run it about half way through each time. I loaded both tanks up with stabil, filled the tires up to max and disconnected the battery, and it was garaged both times. |

I agree with a full tank of fuel. For 6 mo. I don't think you'll have too much trouble. I would take measures to keep critters out of it, engine bay too. Clean oil would be good. BTW - you may run into my wife's assistant. |
