Last April I took a motorcycle ride through Texas. It was such a great ride, that I want to do it again, but just do the best part, the Texas Hill Country.
I recently sold my big V-Twin (Honda VTX-1300R) and bought a Goldwing GL1800. My son has a Harley Sportster and would like to come too, but it had a broken exhaust stud. We got a quote from the dealership to fix it for $300 (cough, choke).
Instead, I helped him pull the head off of the cylinder and took it down to a machine shop to pull the stud. It only cost $10.
Here's some pics of the job so far. I'll post the ride report here as I go.
