Automotive Electric Assistance
All --
I -- or should I say we, as it has been a real team effort -- are so close to getting the 75DBE running and on the road that I can taste it! I have been such a bother to Corey and a couple of other folks, that I wanted to reach out to the rest of the club and see if anyone else could assist with what I think will be the last issue between the Bronco and getting it on the road.
Previous owner did alot of "custom" electrical work -- meaining there are alot of wires running everywhere -- many of which are not connected. As I don't have the funds for a new wiring harness, I am trying to make this work.
I know the engine runs on an engine stand outside the 75DBE, but right now with it in the vehicle I can't get spark to the coil / plugs. In order to get the engine to turn over at all, I am jumping between the solenoid and the battery -- there is no key for the vehicle at the moment -- just bare wires -- and I am not even sure which ones would be for the ignition. There are no fuses in the fusebox, though I didn't think that any of those had anything to do with the ignition regardless. I am terrible when it comes to this type of electrical stuff. Anyone have any bold ideas or know of a local automotive electric guy that could have a look at this for a reasonable price?
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!
John.
