 A visit with an old friendThis weekend my wife and I decided to run the lower parts of the state to see the fall colors. During our run we went through Durango. I have an old friend named Dan Hottell that is buried there so we stopped to pay a visit. I enjoyed listening to his stories about hunting with his grandpa with their bronco and how funny his grandpa was. If there were ever someone on this earth I could call a friend, he was it.
We were both: Early Bronco Lovers (He owned a 74' in yellow) Aircraft Mechanics (A&P) Archery Hunters Rifle Hunters Fishermen (we spent a great deal of time in his grandpa's boat together) Camper's Inseparable I said goodbye to him on January 3, 1995 at age 37 due to Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma and learned his mother had passed in 2010. I hope you all have a Dan in your life. I see him in many of you. You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post. |
