Post subject: | Ford -- But Not Bronco -- Question |
Sorry all, I am desperate and I know there is a ton of brain power represented on this forum -- so I am reaching out. I have an 83 Ford E350 Eldorado RV with a 460 engine in it. There is something on the fuel line -- just before the carburetor -- that looks like a narrow fuel filter but I think is actually called a Fuel Vapor Valve. It is designed to allow fuel to pass from the tank to the carb and have some vent back to the tank to help prevent vapor lock. I need one and I can't find one anywhere. I think it is Ford part number E3TZ-9N176A. I have posted a picture and hopefully that will help. Some urgency as I just got the carb off and realized this thing was clogged but (for various reasons out of my control) I have to get it put back together tomorrow morning. HELP! John -- (719) 660-8266. |

Justin -- This would be perfect IF I didn't need it today. I will probably order that part just to have it on the shelf for future use! I was hoping there was some kind of an old school Ford parts shop in town that had a bunch of dusty boxes sitting on their shelves! I may just have to end up cutting and plugging the return line, cutting the hard fuel line and splicing in some rubber hose and an inline plastic / metal fuel filter and be done with it. Not ideal, but not many options. |

Ah, sorry, missed that part of your post. Good luck, that may be a tough one. |

Might try the ford dealer. If it is a filter there should be a good stock of them somewhere. If it isn't a filter it should be easy to clean out. |
