Quick money saver idea
Just thought I would throw this out there to those looking to save a few bucks here and there.
throughout my tranny swap I have been drilling with hole saws, threading rod and holes and I ran out of cutting/tapping fluid. Don't like to do any of those things dry if I can help it, saves bits and expensive taps and dies. Anyhow with it being late and no stores open I looked to what was at my feet. a 1 gallon jug of used gear oil, yes it was dirty but so is your cutting fluid as soon as it hits what you are working on.
Already paid for and used as intended so basically free cutting fluid. I couldnt tell any difference from the fresh stuff that they charge too much for.
Just though I would pass it along. Oh and it is recycling, saving the planet one threaded rod at a time!

Yeah I use the same... keep it in a old school oil can next to my drill press's. Works pretty good.

Re: Quick money saver idea
I was just wondering how big your bathroom has to be to do all of that cutting in there.
