Need some insight, knowledge, over all help.
I had a buddy last week get in a really bad car accident outside of Greeley last week. He has a dislocated hip, broken femur, tibia, fibia, and ankle all on the right side. He has other injuries as well but he is alive and progressing better everyday. Him and his wife are expecting their first child in December.
So my point is my friends and I are trying to get together a golf fundraiser or some thing in the next few weeks. Has anybody ever set one up or have any other ideas? He is stuck In the hospital for about another 4-5 weeks and then has 2 months of rehab. Nobody knows who's fault it is so he might definitely need some help. Preferably some thing up north (ft Collins, Greeley area would be great).
Thanks for all the help in the brotherhood.

I think the easiest thing to do would be to set up something a crowdfunding site that you can send out to friends/family over facebook etc. Check out: http://www.giveforward.comhttp://www.gofundme.comYou could still do a golf tournament etc but this will give a very easy way to handle the money process from folks locally and across the country potentially.

He may qualify for Emergecy Medicaid. Depending on his finances and insurance, it'd be worth having them talk to the hospital social worker about it. Even if he has insurance, there is the possibility that it could help if he's going to have massive hospital bills. It's tough to qualify and a ton of paperwork, but worth looking into. If another vehicle was involved in the wreck contacting a non-shark attorney would also be a good idea. If he's at fault he'll need the protection and if he's not an advocate in dealing with the insurance companies would be a really good idea. After a bad wreck I was in a bunch of years ago I tried to do it on my own. It worked out OK, but we got an attorney involved towards the end and it made a huge difference.
