Angie and I have decided to get a Class C motorhome next spring as her back problems don't allow her to enjoy all the glories of sleeping on the ground in a tent. Planning to take at least a couple trips per year with the Bronco in tow and wonder if I should flat tow or bite the bullet and get a short trailer. I have already eliminated a car dolly from consideration as I'm not even skilled enough to back them up using my truck. Let's hear the pros and cons of flat towing vs trailering ? |

trailer for me!!!! 2 axle easier backing and more stable if not loaded right!!! does not sway as easy as a single axle. and can be towed by bronco to use for other things. pulling the bronco u should pull the rear drive shaft + all the wear on the broncos tires bearings and suspension. an 16" or 18" 2 axle flat bed or car hauler duel brakes get a good electric brake controller. DOT will tell u 1 brake is good enough but 2 is way better and should not be more than 200.00 to ad.when running hills the second set will stop u were 1 will not after heating up. i sold trailers for 25 years in Colorado sold road runner out of Mississippi all trailers i brought to Colorado had duel brakes. hope this helps pony boy |

I recommend a lift on the motorhome before you hit the trails with it. |
