Christmas Party?
Just throwing it out there and wanting to see if anyone wanted to get together and have a Christmas party this year? I would really like to tie it in to doing a community charitable event. Post your thoughts.

Re: Christmas Party?
I'm in if it works with my not so regular days off. What about giving some time to a place that feeds folks in need, or maybe feeding the troops that work around the clock.

Re: Christmas Party?
We could do a Lyons Volunteer Day. Afterwards when we are sweaty, dirty, and moldy, we can use the Oskar Blues community room for a get together. Depending how big people want to make this...secret santa, white elephant, strippers...you know the standard holiday stuff. BTW- Families could come and spend the day shopping in Lyons or head up to Estes Park.

Re: Christmas Party?
I'm 100% in and am happy to do the legwork to make it happen. I really like the idea of a chance for the club to do some kind of community support stuff. Lyons is a good idea, but may be hard for some folks to get to. Anyone else have thoughts? Food banks, homeless shelters, etc. are always looking for volunteers, so it'd be easy to line something like that up. I'm also supportive of holiday strippers, although it'd make it less appropriate to bring the kid.

Re: Christmas Party?
Another opportunity: I work for a hospice in Lafayette. Our thrift store is a major source of funding and is almost entirely run by volunteers. They're needing help from a muscular group to move a bunch of stuff around. They'll accept help from us, too!

Re: Christmas Party?
No one's house I thought we could do something in a public venue. If we go the charity way we would follow their lead.

Re: Christmas Party?
If we need a non private / non charity space I could check into the place we had TFB's 16th bday party.

Re: Christmas Party?
I'm great with whatever, but would like to get details posted and emailed out since this is 2 weeks away. 12/20 makes great sense since it's the breakfast day anyway. Can we make a mostly final decision by Sunday?

Ok, looks like we started planning this too late to get enough participation.

Next year! We'll plan on the 12/20 breakfast. My guess is that it'll be small but a good time anyway.

Re: Christmas Party?
Sounds like a busy weekend. Apparently, there is also a national "Gay Fest" (Not that there is anything wrong with that!) in San Diego and KC on the 20th.
I however, will be in Westminster coaching.
