Post Ceramic coating
I'm thinking of having my headers and crossover pipe ceramic coated. How much of a difference does it really make? My floorboards used to get pretty warm with my old long tube headers, and the crossover only has about 1-1.5" of air gap from the oil pan. Anyone ever done any of the DIY coatings?

did my midlength hookers with diy coating l bought from speedway...l think techline makes it.the can is at work, and l think it only cost around $45.00.
doesn't seem to help much with heat. but they sure look better than when they were rusty.

I have never done it but one of my co-workers has a Pinzgauer. He did it because it is powered by turbo diesel and heat bleed was causing him big problems. Said it made a huge difference and was easy to do.

No idea on the DIY coating, the professional stuff seems to cut heat in half or so for most people.

I'm generally a big fan of DIY, but there are a few things I would rather have done by the pro's.
Sometimes it's the extra skill, sometimes it's the materials or equipment that they can have that DIY'ers can't.
Header coating is a lot like powder coating, and I'm not going to try that at home either.
