Hey All My Bronco arrived to the new house and doesn't seem to like the new altitude. I'm having a hard time getting her to idle when coming to a stop in gear and she's started to blow black soot out the tail pipe. I am going to check all the cylinders and make sure she doesn't have a miss but I think I need to look at swapping jets and rods on the Edelbrock performer. Any local help making sure I am on the right track would be very welcome. |

Your best bet is to take it to someone that can put a sniffer on it to tune it. I bought a wideband air/fuel gauge off craigslist a fee years back and it made a massive difference in my ability to tune my rig. The world is my chassis dyno. |

Funny I was just searching for a sniffer online. May be worth the investment if I stick with the carb. |

It's worth every penny. I'm thinking about keeping it even after I switch to EFI just to keep an eye on things. I figure it'll give some added data if I want to customize my tune at all. |
