Happiness is...
Finding out that there is a rebate on the welder you just bought AND that you bought on the first day of the qualification period. WOOT!

Sweet!
Happiness is welding the first section of your exhaust and having it look like your bright idea will work out ok.
The might need to be the antidote to the "you know what sux?" thread.

Re: Happiness is...
Being able to pound out the first four body mounts in 20 minutes. In addition, the drivers side door now actually closes all the way. I'll need to measure everything again now. Hopefully the new bushings will go in smoothly once I have some light to work with.

Re: Happiness is...
For THIS!!!!!!!
I met two wonderful Bronco guys today, (Aren't we all!) both in Wellington! John had a STROPPE rubberized steering wheel that he was kind enough to trade me. I traded a stock steering wheel and a wing window for his broken wing window that I will fix and the Strope steering wheel!
Ron had a '66 eyebrow Grill in pretty darn nice shape on his '76 that I traded him straight across for my '74 grill!
Both guys are selling their Broncos and I just happened to see the parts in the pictures on CL and over the last couple of weeks we've been talking and since they were both selling their Broncos they really didn't care what parts were on them!
Finally my persistence pays off and the stars align!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pass along John's contact info if you would. I'd like to talk to him about how he came into possession of the wheel.

Re: Happiness is...
His wife thought that she wanted a Bronco and when he brought this home for her she was less than impressed! I think if he would've gotten her a V8 automatic she would've been in heaven. It's decent and without a lot of rust, maybe just the rockers, but ZERO chance that it's a Stroppe! First of all it's a '69. He didn't know what years they were made and he just knew she liked that body style so he just assumed that they were all the same. He didn't know what a Stroppe was when I explained it to him and why I wanted it. And then of course he thought his might be a Stroppe and was all excited until I had him look up Andrew Norton's site with a list of all of the Stroppe add ons and the limited years that they were produced. Anyway, really is a super nice guy but doesn't know much about Broncos. http://fortcollins.craigslist.org/cto/5192447742.html

Re: Happiness is...
Broncos are like military helos: if they're not leaking, get out because they are out of fluid.

Re: Happiness is...
Just spent this last week muzzleloader hunting. Bronco ran with out a hitch. All the work over this last year payed off. Carb work, fuel tank replacement, floor pans, roll cage ( didn't need but nice to know it was there ), high lift jack/come-a-long mount ( didn't need ), new head light harness and some I have forgot. And got a nice buck.

Re: Happiness is...
Sorry got no pictures. It was dark when we got him back to the Bronco. The next morning was rush to get him to Steves in Arvada. Wife was not happy that we didn't any pictures. We planed on it on Thursday but when I got up I found the wasps had taken over the cavity . The people at Steves said he was a good sized deer. We call him the lumber buck. He has 2 points on the right and 4 points on the left. Rack is in a tub of borax in hopes to save the velvet.
