I brought this home today. Can someone tell me if this is a Warn 8274? P1020981sm.jpg

Looks like one. Should have a identifying plate on it saying what it actually is.

It looks like a Bronco. Did you bring that home too?! http://www.warn.com/blog/2011/03/02/the ... inch.shtmlIf I remember correctly, the 8274 will have 3 wire posts. It looks like an 8274 to me.

Re: I think I got a Warn 8274 today - pic
I think its an 8274, couldn't find a model number. It wasn't really my concern. LOL.
The truck, on the other hand, is worth bragging about. A 67000 mile 1966 U15 with 170 I6.
Other than the drivers floor pan, there is almost ZERO rust. It was sold from Gunnison Ford, new in 1966, still has a sticker on the dash.
Some old body work is popping out of the driver door & quarter panel. The hood also has some old damage that is letting go.
Not an eyebrow grill. PO swapped a NP435 for the 3 speed (took the shifter mechanism out of the column). Driver floor patched. Horrible bumpers.
Correct 66 tailgate, correct grill/turnsignals, correct hood, correct rear axle shocks, correct door pillar design, correct key lock location, correct non-sidmarkers, correct speedo, correct body tag still attached, correct hard top/rear gate latch & key.
Technically, I didn't buy the truck. The girlfriend did. Not sure what to do with it yet. Got a decent price, and thought we'd flip it. Considering the absence of rust, it might be a great price. But now considering a longer term relationship, restoration, and possible high dollar flip.
Here come the pics.

Ummm... Not sure if you know this, but there seems to be a problem with the winch mounting, it has a bronco attached to it!

Re: I think I got a Warn 8274 today - pic
I'm going to fix the mounting problem and put the winch on my Bronco. We'll find a more flattering bumper for this gem. These are pics I took pre-purchase. http://s245.photobucket.com/user/c-w-a/ ... t=2&page=1

I don't care how much she paid. I'm super jealous. Great looking truck! I need pictures of that spare tire mount.
Even has a bulkhead!

Re: I think I got a Warn 8274 today - pic
Well that seals the deal. You have to keep it and fix it up for her!
But if you decide to sell, let me know. It's not exactly what I am looking for, but depending on how original it is, it could be.

Re: I think I got a Warn 8274 today - pic
Here are a few more pics of the spare tire carrier. P1030038.JPG P1030039.JPG P1030040.JPG From what I've found, according to the "Buck" tag on the firewall the truck came with full roof, passenger mirror, and heater as options. Found this little tag in the glove box, seems they've been found behind the dash of a few trucks. P1030037.JPG Trying to figure the axle code. Can someone help? I'm thinking A3, but that doesn't work for a 66 model. I can find "C" for 3 speed, and "B" for Caribbean Blue paint. P1030043.JPG But the VIN decoder doesn't seem to work for the axle. http://www.broncohio.com/tech/ebvins.htmlAlso, it seems I misread the odometer. It only has 57,000 miles. Still has a nice headliner P1030044.JPG Is this how the glove box was, or did someone 'fix' it along the way? Its a fabric type material inside. P1030045.JPG I'm going to have bunches of questions about putting the 3 speed back in, and also maybe upgrading the D30 to disks, PS, PB, etc. I don't know if I should change it, but I'm not sure Molly is going to love driving it without. Can anyone comment if the sales prices are better or worse for true restorations vs resto-mod with some safety & driveablity upgrades.
