Trying to decide between these 2 lift kits. Goal is smoothest ride, 95% on-road. Would those of you that have these share your thoughts? http://www.wildhorses4x4.com/product/Pr ... System_2in http://www.tomsbroncoparts.com/product/ ... bronco-new |

I've never heard a bad word about Wild Horses & Bilsteins are excellent too. Lots of guys here are running WH springs. I'm running a WH 3.5" 11 leaf pack rear and its great. But I'm comparing it to the previous rear springs, a 5 leaf pack from 1996, so anything would have been an improvement. |

Running toms 11 pack rear springs and jbg deaver coils with bilstiens all around rides very nice on the road. |

I strongly suspect that both leaf packs are made by Deaver, and that they're essentially identical. There's more variability in the front springs, but I'm guessing they're similar as well. I'd order whichever is cheaper after shipping. Tom's just announced a 10% off everything sale. |

I've been told by DirtDonk on CB that some front springs are progressive spring rate and some are linear. For example: WH are progressive BC Broncos are linear Progressive springs are softer riding if the bumps are small. |

I bought my "Tom's" 3.5" 11 pack/Progressive well used from Craigslist and have had it installed for 4 years. Still no sag. Super street ride, firm without being jarring and soft without being squishy. I barely feel the RR tracks at speed that I always slow down for in my car. Easy decision....Buy the less expensive one and save yourself the $300+ for other goodies! |
