So, oddball question. Or maybe not. I see quite a few crawlers, buggies and vehicles of the sort listed for sale without title. In most cases they are said to be off-highway vehicles only, specifically trailered to and from the trails. Anyone happen to know specifics on this type of designation or what needs to be done? I've got a Bronco that is still awaiting a title. I'm thinking of getting it up and running with the intent of taking it on the trail. Could I do this, without a title if it was somehow designated as an off-highway vehicle only? What types of registration or paperwork would I need to complete, if any? |

As I understand it you can register off highway and drive it all day long off highway. It must be trailered to the off highway area you intend to enjoy. |

Also useful to note that many dirt roads are actual roads that require registration. |

If your on FS land download a MVUM (multi vehicle use map) & it'll let you know what type of designation it has. |

I did some digging last night and came to the conclusion that the title issue will continue to screw me on this route too. In order to get the OHV sticker, you have to provide proof of ownership or title. Just one more incentive to get off my butt and get back to work on the title paperwork. It has been almost a year. |
