My rig has been leaking oil progressively worse ever since I put my timing gear in a couple years ago. I put a new gasket on my oil pan when I replaced it and ever since then it's been leaking. A few months ago I tried to cure the problem again by putting a new gasket on the oil pan when I did my C4 upgrade. That did not seem to help either. While driving around this weekend I made it just about home and I heard a nasty clickety-clack clickety-clack that seemed worse as the RPMs increased. Well, when I got home I left it running and looked under the truck and I could physically see my mechanical fuel pump rocking back-and-forth. 1 of the fuel pump bolts (I over tightened) had stripped out the timing chain cover. Bingo, I found my oil leak!!! I also had a very small oil leak coming out of the front valley of my intake so while I was there I decided I might as well replace that as well. I have a couple of other things lying around that I've been saving for just such an occasion. Stay tuned... |

I finally got the lower half buttoned up with the new oil pan gasket, new timing chain cover and modified the inside to accept my timing gear. Took my time and hand tightened the fuel pump, no stripped threads this time! Finally able to start on some of the extras... |

Everything under the hood if plumbed... Moving slower than I'd hoped but going better than expected. NO LEAKS! Not 1 drop! Still working on the inside... |
