So I go out this morning to get my car warmed up(98 ford escort). Starts fine, runs fine.....won't move!! It is stuck in the street in front of my house! Won't move 2 inches. Ok, fine, grab the keys to my truck. Go to my truck and all I get is a click, click, click. I knew I should have replaced that 8 year old battery that I knew was dying!! So I hop in my Bronco. Fires right up and gets me to work! Yes this is the same Bronco I posted about yesterday with the eaten transfer case! It screamed at me the whole way but made it!! I just hope it will get me home before it locks up completely! I will be taking it easy and going slow for sure! Top it all off.....I left my breakfast and lunch for the day in my escort.
Is it 5 yet????

That is a bad morning - like Dan said - nothing better than ending it with the Bronco Brothers.

Looks like my problem may be in my front diff. Not sure what happened but my guess is my "spooled"(welded spider gears) has failed after 5 years of use and abuse. I will crack it open tomorrow night and take a look. I am not sure I am going to be able to make the snow wheeling trip at this point. If the gears are gone there is no way to make the trip as I am poor. If it is the carrier I may be able to make it still. It all depends on what I find!

I am running 5.13 gears. Not likely to find those anywhere cheap!

That is a bummer. I've seen a decent number of 4.56 on craigslist, not likely to find 5.13 any time soon. Maybe knock out a few bumpers? I'm guessing you'd sell them fast and be able to make a bit of cash.
