Anyone here built/owned a buggy? Wondering what options you have taken in Colorado, started with frame/VIN/title or no. If no title are you running the ORV sticker/tag? Still been tossing this idea around and looking at pros/cons from a perepctive of tube frame vs. start with frame/title. No solid plans, just tossing around all the options. |

A buddy and I built a full tube buggy about 15 years ago. Never tried to plate or title it and ohv tags weren't really a thing back then so never really did anything. Really my only help here is to say; build a full tube buggy! They're pretty awesome. |

Just remember most buggy trails require the OHV sticker whether plated or not. It's a law that has been on the books for years but now being enforced when they can. |

Seems like the only drawback would be getting the ORV stickers for each state and having to trailer it to the trail head. I am sure you guys have seen some of these, but every time I see another I toss the idea around. |

Just came across this thread I've been working on this thing for way to long but it will be done spring of 2019. Based off my old crawlers drive train and built on the cheap using a Formula Toyota cage kit by Hendrix. |

Hey Phil I know a couple of guys that welded the VIN plate from project frame to the tube chassis they used Suzuki for title work. |

I would like to believe there is a way to get a real VIN too. I think something along the lines of a certified VIN. After all there are kit cars out there and home made trailers on the streets. I would talk to someone nice at the DMV or to a good trooper. |
