today i met jay aka (jzd) and would like to tell you that his rear quarter inner fender panels are first class the fit and finish are very nice , they are fiberglass layups and will with stand water which mdf will not also they are light so your not adding weight such as when you use aluminum . i think if anyone on here is looking for panels he's the local guy you want to hook up with . he is also make door panels that can be fiberglass or carbon fiber both very cool , i've seen his molds and there high quality in fit and finish . you stereo guys out there that are thinking about laying up rear panels or door panels these would make an excellent starter if your going to build them out , such as angling or tipping the speakers for optimum sound . jay is also making hood that is in the prototype stages . guys give jay a try if your going to vinyl cover or leather a panel , fiberglass is the best chose not mdf . |

I was going to eliminate my rear interior panels but if they are good I will reconsider! Does he have a price in mind? Door Panels? Rear Interior Quarters? Hood? |

I would definitely like to know what he would charge - I kinda assumed it was out of my price range. One of those if you have to ask you cannot affort it kinda deals. Maybe if enough guys want them, maybe the price could come down a bit. I am definitely interested. |

Went to Jay's yesterday and picked up my rear panels. The rear panels are as nice as you guys said and his shop is amazing. Fun to see all of Jay's pictures, fiberglass molds, 3 Broncos, etc. Jay and I have a similar passion for Jet Boats too - someday I will get one. Thanks for the advice guys and Jay - thanks for setting me up! |

I'm definately doing this. I wonder if he can build an enclosure into it. I've been looking at these JL audio subs. Would be great to put these in the back behind the roll bar. |

Anything JL is amazing. I still have the same 500/1 and 300/4 Amps, 12" W7 HO Wedge (100 Pounds), and Component set in all 4 doors of my Yukon from 2005. Sounds as good now as then, no issues, and Sound Quality is amazing. These thin-lines definitely seem like a cool idea. |

How about some kick pannel speaker pods? My son just added them to his 66 mustang and they really helped the sound (purchased them from mustangs + for like $68 or something) . I dont know how much room there would be, but it is an product that I think someone could sell a few of. |

I was busy this weekend building some new tooling.Check these out and let me know if you want some.I've got the door panels and a new inner support structure for my hood. The hood structure will allow the use of the stock latch and have inner support for hood shocks as well as make it super ridged.Door panels will be made of fiberglass.Still need to cut, buff and break in the molds.Should be ready to produce new parts in a week or so.I haven't got a price on the panels yet but will update a.s.a.p.Thanks JGZ |

I pulled the first pair of door panels this morning.Still need to work on the lay up thicknes, might be a little heavy.Other than that they fit perfect and the finish is awsome, very shiney.Let me know what you think. Thanks JGZ |

I saw these in person at the Golden super cruise and they are beautiful, great craftsmanship Jay - could you do these with a Bronco script in the mold ? |

Putting "Rox Crusher" on them would significantly limit your target audience I have a better idea..................I am thinking that I could find a set of Bronco fender badges to put on them not ready to buy just yet but count me in for a set |

I have thought of that and would take any input anyone has to offer.I would like to build something that everyone can use.So the more ideas the better. We need like a focus group. |

I'd love to see a panel with storage in it, it could be a simple opening just below the bed rail that uses the inner fender area, a simple slope down from the opening or it could close using Velcro or a zipper. I scavenged some really cool door panels for my old '66 F100 from a junkyard back in the day, they replaced the steel access panel on the lower part of the door with a drop in plastic liner, it was vinyl covered and had a zipper that ran in an arch from edge to edge. So the storage area was the entire lower part of the door, it even had special drain valves on the lower edge of the panel. I’ll try to dig up some pics, they were cool. |
