Edelbrock 1405/1406 assistance needed
Going to be finishing off my Edelbrock rebuild tomorrow during lunch and needed a hand with something. Was hoping someone could snap some good hi res pics of the DS and PS linkage and cams. Just want to make sure I get everything back together smoothly.
Thanks.

I forgot, I don't have a n electric choke on mine and the manual is not hooked up to anything either Edelbrock has instructions for most everything here as well. You can download and blow these up as big as you need Brett

Re: Edelbrock 1405/1406 assistance needed
Brett, Thanks for the pics. Exactly what I needed. Right now I'm having two problems. First, the rod indicated below doesn't match up with what I have. Both bends on my rod face the same direction and both ends have the slotted connectors. However, the rod in your picture has opposing bends and appears to use the clip pin to hold the top of the rod in. The second issue I am having is with the spring indicated in the circle. I need to see where the J bend in this spring is engaged with the linkage.

I took a few more closeups. Keep in mind, this is not my install and I have no idea if it's as it should be normally. It does run though so something is working but the choke asm is not in use at all. yes a clip is in place on the top. Sorry, I missed taking a pic of it Brett

First, thanks for the pics again Brett. Very helpful Second, I'm an idiot. One of he things I preach to my guys at work is, "if something isn't working right take a step back and see if it LOOKS right." Well, I should have heeded my own advice. Turns out I had switched the linkages shown below. Looks as if the pic didn't update. Anywho, I switched the linkage/rod that physically opens and closes the choke with the one that actuates the rod that passes through the top of the carb.
