Dash Questions
Sorry for a couple of silly Dash questions but I gotta ask. Question One: Do I need a Choke Cable / Bezel for my '73 with Edelbrock 4 Barrel? Is this the same as the 'Throttle' (Highlighted in Red)? Questions Two: Any idea where I can buy these Dash Label Light Bars (highlighted in Blue)? Question Three: Do I need a Brake Warning Light #15? WTH does it do? Again, sorry for insulting the gurus on this stuff

Re: Dash Questions
#1: Not if you have an electronic choke. For a manual choke, yes, you do need it. #2: No idea. #3: The brake warning light would indicate a problem with the braking system when starting the truck. I don't really see it as needed if your braking system is in good condition (many, including mine, don't work). I have always figured it was probably something that was installed by a special team of Ford lawyers on the factory floor.

Re: Dash Questions
The light bars are not reproduced. You would need to find some used ones.

Re: Dash Questions
Throttle and Choke are not the same thing for Bronco dash layouts. The throttle cable actually attaches to the gas pedal linkage, inside the cab, and just about the pedal. Purpose is to set a higher than idle RPM setting, for whatever reason. I find the throttle works great in the cold mornings for me, seeing as my manual choke on the ol' Holley was not working well.
I also cannot find any dash label light bars through any of the parts houses. Sounds like its time to make a new product for the market!

Re: Dash Questions
Thanks a ton for the help. Glad I am not the only one who can't find them from the supply houses. Looks like I need to call Don and see what he has in stock. Been wanting to head down there for a while, now I have an excuse.
Punisher - if you want to produce them, I will be your first customer. I'm sure I am not the only one who needs them.

Re: Dash Questions
The throttle cable is to run higher RPM's when you want to run something like a PTO winch.
The light bars I have seen on ebay selling for as much as $100.00 + a set. I have at least the heater side (I think it's the heater side) you can have at N/C. I may have both sides but I'll have to look when I get home.
I like Justin's answer for #3!

Does anyone have a layout like that for a 69?

Re: Dash Questions
If the light bars are going for $100.00, it is very unlikely that Don is going to have them laying around. There has got to be a market for them. I have never seen them for sale on eBay and I have been regularly searching for dash parts for months. 76 - There is no way I will take your light bars. I will wait for Punisher's reproductions. Besides, may be asking for someone to break into my truck 69 - Here is the pic with all 3 diffferent Dash Layouts:

Guess I'm too slow for the market.
Here you go.

Re: Dash Questions
Punisher - I ordered those last week and should be here Tuesday. First order from BC. I think that is just the strip that go inside the bezel that I don't have. Isnt there a chrome bezel around that strip that holds it in place?

Re: Dash Questions
Yup, sure it. I suppose that is the one piece that is not reproduced. Shouldn't be too hard to fab something out of sheetmetal. Maybe a nice stainless steel or aluminum. Chrome would work too for the stock look. Hard part is finding the template to work off of.

Re: Dash Questions
I wonder why mine doesn't have the controls on the outside of the column? This is probably the messiest part of the vehicle, Everything from the Dash down is a mess, you can see the rust holes along the door jambs also. Maybe someone changed the dash out. I know it has been out as the corners are filled in with caulking which is going to be a fun time cleaning that out.

Re: Dash Questions
i've got the stock bezel/labels for the heater controls you can have for free, its not perfect but since you're getting the strips it'll help, i converted mine to vintage air, so i don't need the heater bezel/labels anymore, lemme know if ya want it
