Carburetor, Intake, Distributor selection
I'm currently in the process of rebuilding my 302. My bronco is a 75 with the c4 auto trans. As much as I would love to do FI I'm going to stick with a carb. I'm struggling with which carb and intake I should run. There's mixed opinions between an edelbrock and holley 670cfm Truck avenger. Also I'm thinking about going with the HEI all in one distributor (coil and module integrated). Any advice or opinions as to what I should run would be greatly appreciated.

What type of driving do you plan to do with the Bronco? The Edelbrock 1405 and 1406 are pretty popular carbs and with some minor tweaks should suit you well for mild offroading.
The easy choice on the intake is going to be an Edelbrock 4 barrel intake. I picked one up at the swap meet in Denver earlier this year for 65 bucks. Unless you want to keep it 2 barrel. If that is the case, any ol' 2 barrel intake will do.

Re: Carburetor, Intake, Distributor selection
I've been running an Edelbrock Performer & Edelbrock 1406 for 14+ years. Added the spring loaded needles and a pressure regulator and its always run great. There are a few other things to do to the Edelbrock to make it even better.
I hope I'm not out of line, this is the second time today. I'm going EFI soon and will have my intake & carb for sale. PM me if you are interested.

Re: Carburetor, Intake, Distributor selection
Thanks for the response and advice. The machine shop doing the motor gave me a good deal on an edelbrock performer with a holly 570 avenger. Hope it was the right decision but he was pretty convincing based on the the use and altitude. Once it's running I'll update on how the combo works for me.
