Post Ford 9" pinon retainer - anyone have one?
I was breaking down my rear nine tonight and pulling the pinon apart and had allot of trouble pulling the pinon seal out.. it was on there good. Anyway i missed with the hammer and hit the lip of the pinon seal and cracked a small piece of metal off the housing that the seal goes into... I dont think its enough to cause a leak but wanted to check here to see if anyone had ford 9" pinon housing sitting around they could part with.. if not I think i can use some RTV around that area and should be ok.. its not too bad but its enough that its causing doubt.

iam talking about the little housing that supports the pinon.. like this

I guess its called the pinon retainer..

I feel kinda dumb doing this cause i usually wouldn't use ahammer but it was really in there and i was getting impatient...

let me know if you have another and how much you want for it.. I think it would be smart to replace it.
