Post Rubber Windshield Frame to Top Seal
Ok, so I am tinkering with odds and ends. I wanted to put the bracket on the top of the windshield so that I can mount the soft / bikini top bracket. I thought that I ordered the correct rubber seal but it is so thick -- and has ribs front and back -- that maybe there is something else that I should have ordered?

Yeah. I talked to WH and they said what I was thinking -- the thicker rubber seal is just for the hard top. I ordered the wrong thing. Crap! He said they just use the double sided sticky tale -- and sometimes not even that -- when they put the soft top riser on top of the windshield. Guess I can just save this piece if I ever decidfe to put the hard top back on.

I'd prefer rubber over foam just because the foam breaks down much faster. If you're trying to protect paint, that's one thing, but for a bikini top, I wouldn't even bother unless you plan to be driving in the rain with this setup.

If you still want some sort of seal, start here:

The same thing could be available at your local hardware store. Think garage door seal??

Are you planning to come to the tech day tomorrow? If you do, I am pretty sure we have something you can use around here (it is amazing the different types of door seals we have lying about).
