Kirk and I worked out a trade to have him fab up a rear bumper and tire carrier for me.
We met up at Justin's last saturday. See Slider thread.
viewtopic.php?f=8&t=6224Kurt Showed up in his stealthy BSD and The bs'ing ( I mean planning) started immediately. The theme of "It's only Brett's Bronco" was quickly developed.
He immediately started naming the parts
General profile of the bumper 2x5 tubing. Doubled up in the center section.
Cutting some pieces. Kirk, I know where your your yellow tape is.
Kirk got tired of being teased so he retreated to the rear of the shop to measure out the remaining bumper parts
Like a kid in a candy store. Kirk will be a few bucks lighter after using the plasma to make the cuts for the receiver and clevis attachments. He'll be in the market for one !
Due to the time and tool sharing needs, All the pieces were cut and prepped for final assembly which Kirk will do at his house. We'll meet up again at Justin's to do the final fit, welding and paint.
What a great couple of guys!, We never stopped teasing, planning, fabbing and working. It was a fun day and a ton got accomplished. ! Thanks again guys!!! I look forward to meeting up again.
