Emergency Brake Bracket
Does anyone sell a replacement emergency brake bracket that's welded to the frame? Mine is totally mangled, looks like it went through a blender.
I'm rebuilding the rear brakes and this is a partial reason my emergency brakes don't work.

Re: Emergency Brake Bracket
From all the views and zero replies, I guess I'm not the only one who can't find a replacement.
I'll just build a new one.

Re: Emergency Brake Bracket
i was going to say, might be easier to fab a new one. The one on my 69 failed so i had to weld and fab supports for it.

Re: Emergency Brake Bracket
The mangled part is the bracket that is welded to the frame, I just doubt that part is made as they don't break or wear out.
I'm just going to cut the old one off, cut a new one out and re-weld it. I just have to flatten out the old one for a pattern.
Personally I can't figure out how the previous owner mangled the bracket into a knot, but he did. He must of got hooked up into a stump or something.

Re: Emergency Brake Bracket
Can you take a picture of it? The only part that should touch the frame is the spring.

Re: Emergency Brake Bracket
If you mean the brackets for the emergency brake cables, at least on my Bronco those are on the underside of the body. Not the best pic, but the one I have on this computer:
